Après plusieurs années d’activité artistique dans les domaines de la photographie puis de la sculpture, ces monotypes participent de la reprise d’un travail en deux dimensions et sur papier, manifestant le besoin d’un retour à la légèreté et la plus grande simplicité dans l'expression gestuelle, que la mise en œuvre et les contraintes du travail en volume enferment parfois dans la matière.

Réalisés en monochrome et à l’huile, ces monotypes sont obtenus par application direct du corps sur le support qui en enregistre les mouvements, puis par transfert sur papier.

Les mouvements du corps confèrent à l’épreuve finale cet aspect visuel proche de celui d’une planche d’étude anatomique à l’écorchée, tout en lui donnant un côté emprunt de fantastique qui est ici l’expression de la vie même au contraire de l’observation cadavérique à laquelle se prête l’illustration médicale.
